About the Mayor

Mayor Eric J. Kellogg, a life-long resident of Harvey, Illinois, has been involved in the field of education for over 20 years. He has served the Harvey community as a teacher, coach, Dean of Students, Director of Administrative Support Services, and is currently, serving as Assistant Superintendent of School District 152.

Mayor Kellogg holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Illinois State University, Master’s Degree in Curriculum from National Lewis University in Evanston, an Administrative Certificate, Type 75, from Lewis University in Romeoville, a Superintendent’s Endorsement from Lewis University Graduate School, a Superintendents Certificate, and is a State Certified Police Officer. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Argosy University.

Mayor Kellogg sits on the Board of Directors and serves as the Executive Director of numerous foundations and organizations. He is committed to and involved in many humanitarian efforts through dedication, participation and annual donations. Some of the organizations that Mayor Kellogg is involved with are the KEL-LAW Foundation, Harvey Little League, Harvey Twisters Wrestling Program, Harvey Colts Football, the United Negro College Fund and numerous churches in the Harvey community.

Mayor Eric J. Kellogg began his service to the citizens of Harvey as an elected official in the late 1980’s as a Commissioner of the Harvey Park District. In 1991, he was elected to the first of two terms as the Alderman of the 5 th Ward. Kellogg.
