Any and all violations of the City of Harvey's Municipal Codes and Ordinances are adjudicated in the City of Harvey municipal court system. The municipal court system is composed of two courts:
• Municipal "Housing" (Property) Court
• Municipal "Traffic" (Parking) Court
Court is held in the Harvey Municipal Center's Council Chambers, located at 15320 Broadway Avenue, Harvey, IL. 60426.
Municipal "Housing" (Property) Court
All code violations -- in reference to the City of Harvey's property maintenance ordinances -- are adjudicated in this court.
Court call is the second Wednesday of each month. Sign in begins at 9:30 a.m. and is ended at 11 a.m. Cases are heard from 9:45 a.m. until 5 p.m.
In order to have an efficient process, please make sure you have your citations numbers and all supporting and necessary documents ready to present.
Each citation will receive up to three court calls.
Listed below are the Fines and Fees Scales for the City of Harvey Municipal Housing Court:
COURT COST AND FINES
1st Appearance: $25.00 plus fine
2nd Appearance: $50.00 plus fine
3rd Appearance: $75.00 plus fine
If you do not appear by the 3rd notice, a lien is filed on the property.
The charges for a lien are the amount of the fine plus 9% interest, $26.50 filing fee and $25.00 administrative fee.

Please make check or money order payable to the "City of Harvey."
Please note: If you chose to pay your citation before the first appointed court date you may mail your check or money order for the fine amount and the administrative court cost of $25.00 will be waived.
If you fail to appear for your first court hearing, you will be sent a second court notice. At this time you may still pay the original fine amount plus a $50.00 administrative court cost.
With the failure to appear at the second court date, a third and final court date will be sent to you. You may still pay the original fine amount, plus an increased administrative court cost of $75.00.
If you do not respond to any court notices, a lien will be placed on the property.

All code violations -- in reference to the City of Harvey's traffic and parking ordinances -- are adjudicated in this court. These citations are in reference to non-moving violations.
Court call the is second Friday of each month. Sign in begins at 9:30 a.m. and is ended at 11:00 a.m. Cases are heard from 9:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
